I Want To Know What Love Is
I’m Layla, and I’m a superfan. I’ve heard about girls who meet rock stars out in the wild without a clue who they are, and I promise you, that would not be me.
Case in point. I just landed this job at the premiere rock magazine. On my first day there, I wind up meeting my favorite band, and since I’m not one of those girls who pick the guitarist out of a lineup, let alone name the drummer, I’m absolutely starstruck. And this drummer, Shane, is looking at me like he’s the one with a bad case of the awkwards. And my Lord is he cute.
And now Shane’s inviting me to hang out, go to their rehearsals, come to shows, all the things I’d ever dreamed of. But once the stardust falls from my eyes, I’m drawn to this less-than-flashy drummer’s sweet charms, fascinating mind, and banging hot body. The only trouble is, he’s deeply insecure after being used by so many women who were only chasing after the lifestyle, or one of his band brothers.
The thing is, I’m not just a little invested in this band. I’ve run the most popular unofficial online fansite for them since before they were big. I’m dying to gush about meeting them on the server, but posting my insider adventures online would expose my real-life identity and blow my cover.
Worse, Shane might discover my years of obsessive fandom and lose all faith in my intentions. And as they say, the Internet is forever, and secrets have a way of getting out.
